Former Smashing Pumpkins/Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur says that Billy Corgan is indeed writing new material for the next Smashing Pumpkins album. In other Pumpkins news, Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin have signed a management deal with Azoff Management. According to Blabbermouth, the band is being considered as a headliner for this year's Lollapalooza taking place in the Pumpkins hometown, Chicago, August 4th-6th.
