Homme unceremoniously dumped the bassist from the rock outfit in 2003, and it's something that touches a raw nerve with Oliveri.

Oliveri bursted: "He sold himself short thinking he is 'The Guy,' he should be just the Josh Homme band. There are so many elements that keep that train moving. It (QOTSA) got to be pretty big so for any one person to think it was just them on their own is just absurd.

He also hit out at QOTSA's 2005 effort, claiming he "dropped the ball" and the guitars were nowhere to be seen.
