The Who Album Due 2006

2006-01-20 18:17:57
Rock legends Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey have (unofficially) announced the release of the much anticipated Who rebirth ablum. Originally slated for late '05, as the new year slowly swung around it seemed to the eager fans that it was not to be, and while an official date is not yet on the cards, optimists maintain faith in the two remaining Who members for completion of the album sometime this year.
Talk of a Who reunion first surfaced at their (spectacular) performance at Live 8 (Hyde Park), July 2 of last year, but it was only until later when these rumours materialised into anything solid, causing massive excitement in Rock lovers and ex-Mods everywhere.
Townshend, in an interview with Mojo magazine, commented "...We've got four songs at the moment, so that's not bad...slowly but surely we're getting there."

Who?

I have been really into The Who lately. Tommy, Quadrophenia, et al have been blasting from my speakers for much more time than any other band's efforts recently. A new album? The idea is mind-blowing. Hopefully they will follow the lines of the Rolling Stones and actually still show that they are still fit for rocking.

I Read in the paper a while back that the reason that the album is taking so long is because of pete's hearing and that he can only record for a day and then has to take a break. It would be great if they done a tour to back up the album!
